Artist Statement
I love to reshape ‘small pieces of place’ into new work. These objects are mementos of my past, reconstructed and reworked to produce new objects, holding memory and hope. Working from a conceptual place, I use textiles, paper, fabric, mixed media and found objects to articulate thoughts on remembrance, relationships and the passage of time. My artform addresses transformation and alteration by cutting, layering, stitching, embellishing and reconstructing. I continues to explore the relationship of both external and internal landscapes.
