As an artist, I generally start with
the concept (memory, change, freedom, loss) and let the materials guide me from there. I work primarily in natural and manmade fiber but also recycle or transform found objects such as appointment books, maps and clothing into new entities. Presently, I am involved in taking a closer look at look at environmental and political issues, which are ever-present in our world, but because of their very omnipresence, can numb us to their existence. |
